  • Works with station management and corporate news management to establish News content philosophy and direction.
  •  Maintains full editorial control; oversee day-to-day budget control and monitor overtime and other expenses.
  • Directs daily meetings to suggest coverage approaches, review rundowns for newscasts, and ensure a well balanced newscast.
  • Reviews daily newscasts to ensure quality control and provide feedback to all departments, especially news, promotions, operations and engineering employees about the on-air quality/look.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of journalistic ethics, libel, and privacy law.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and coaches news department personnel.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of current events happening locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Develops strategies to attract more viewers and analyzes daily audience reports (Nielsen Ratings)
  • Creates original content for newscasts and establishes new segments to make the newscast more appealing to viewers.
  • Participates in the regional Captain Initiative and prepares monthly for corporate evaluation.
  • Oversees Orlando and Tampa

The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Vice President. The position requires the upmost professionalism, discretion and sound judgment, and acts with initiative, urgency, and independence in a dynamic environment.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memoranda, minutes, and reports

  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications

  • Conduct research, collect and analyze data to prepare reports and documents

  • Set priorities to meet goals timely by creating efficient systems and procedures

  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings on and off site, including schedule rooms/locations; making arrangements for food/beverage; coordinating logistics such as place/name tags, collateral dissemination, and A/V setup; and greeting and directing attendees

  • Assist and plan for in-house station activities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and initiate conference calls and WebEx presentations

  • Provide necessary metrics for bi -weekly  management team meetings and develop appropriate presentations

  • Manage and maintain confidential/sensitive information and matters

  • Prepare, proofread, verify and assemble information for reports and compose correspondence to include Power Point decks, Excel worksheet, handouts and presentations

  • Answer and manage managing incoming phone calls

  • Resolve routine inquiries

  • Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meeting and travel itineraries

  • Prepare expense reports

  • Transcribe and distribute minutes of weekly Department Head Meeting

  • Coordinate project based work

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of providing support at a high level or five years at an administration assistant level

  • Strong  administrative background, extensive knowledge and superior proficiency in  Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop

  • Demonstrated dependability, sense of urgency and keen attention to detail

  • Superior ability to manage the workflow of multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior management

  • Ability to take on ad hoc projects while maintaining workflow and administrative support

  • Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail

  • Naturally highly responsive with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills

You will be an evangelist for and sell all of Entravision’s Orlando and Tampa Local’s Digital properties, including all the radio’s digital assets and brands, Mobile and streaming music.
• In this role, you must be a team player and enjoy the thrill of finding new business opportunities. Must be a good communicator, honest and straightforward. • Digital advertising sales experience is required; prefer 5+ years of digital sales experience, with key agency contacts

Communicate with VP, IMS on a regular basis in regard to established quarterly revenue goals and the efforts to increase client base. Additional job requirements also include research, promotions development, servicing client accounts as well as networking. Some weekend work is required.
